Broadcast by phone and mp3 file
Hello, I downloaded the free version of BroadcastbyPhone. I generally like the product, but I do have a question. When my message plays it only plays for a few seconds. This is obviously unacceptable. Is this by design in the free version or is there something else going on. Also, I would like to send a higher quality audio file. The 8Khz, 16bit, mono is not good enough because I am sending a song file for my music company. Are your people developing the capability to send mp3 files? What else would I get with the Professional version if I decided to purchase?
BroadcastByphone free version should be able to play messages as long as you want. It’s like a person stay on the phone. It is usually the modem causes the problem you have. If you don’t want get the modem from us, you can get a Zoom model 3025 voice modem from your local store for about $40. Once you have the right voice modem, the software should work fine.
Unfortunately, the 8Khz, 16bit, mono format is only accepted by a regular telephone line. There is nothing our software can do. Telephone is not designed to have good audio quality. People use it to talk, not sing. But we like the idea that you send music file over the phone by using our software.
For professional version, you can compose your phone messages anyway you want. You can also play different messages to live person, to answering machine. Basically, you have a phone message editor. For standard verison you can have one .wav file to send over the phone.
