“Mass migration” to VoIP is said to be on

A “mass migration” to VoIP-based phone systems is well underway, according to TMC.com blogger Beecher Tuttle.

In an Aug. 4 post, Tuttle writes that more companies are “ditching their legacy communication technologies in favor of more flexible and cost-effective alternatives each day.”

Tuttle shares details of an interview TMC CEO Rich Tehrani had with Greg Brashier, chief operating officer at Virtual PBX, a provider of cloud-based business phone systems.

According to the post, Brashier believes that traditional business phone systems will be replaced by virtual, cloud-based technologies and next-generation mobile devices, “which SMB and enterprise employees will use more frequently as softphones for VoIP calls.”
