Conference Bridge

Conference Bridge is a facility within a service provider or carrier that connects multiple callers together and monitors the conference call session. It is used to electronically balance the lines so that each caller can hear and speak to all the others no matter how many people hop on or off the call. The most common form of bridge allows participants dial into a virtual meeting room from their own phone. Meeting rooms can hold dozens or even hundreds of participants. Conference Bridge allows companies to save significantly on travel costs. In-person meetings are costly and time consuming. A conference bridge system can pay for itself in just one avoided "on-site" meeting.
