Gateway Tutorial: Test EmailToPhone

Access email by phone

1. By default, Voicent Gateway does not pickup incoming calls. To change it, select Setup > Options > Inbound tab, then uncheck the box labeled Do not pickup incoming calls.
2. You should also setup the incoming call password. The default is "1234". EmailToPhone is installed as a secure inbound application on Voicent Gateway, it can only be accessed if the caller enters the correct password.
3. Now you can call to check your email. When Voicent Gateway picks up the call, it will announce that "you've reached ...". Enter the inbound password followed by the pound key, you will be directed to the EmailToPhone application.

Phone alert for email

1. From the main page of EmailToPhone as shown in the overview section, click the link labeled Turn Alert On.
2. Send an email from the email account you specified in the Email Alert section
3. You should receive a phone call from EmailToPhone
