There are several ways to create your voice message:
- Telephone recording - An easy method to record
your message
- Computer microphone - Use Microsoft Sound Recorder
- Other tool or device to record a .wav file
- Use Text-to-Speech for computer generated voice
- Use Professional Recording studio
1. You can use telephone
to record your voice broadcast messages. To do so,
select Designer > Record Audio By Phone... from the program
main menu. Follow the onscreen instruction to record your
messages. It has the best sound quality and require no editing
effort compare with other recording methods.
2. Record your message using any recording tool, such as
Microsoft Sound Recorder, accessible from your desktop screen, Start -> All
Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment. Save the recording
in a .wav file.

After you record your voice message, you save the file by
giving a file name like myrecord.wav, By default, it is saved
in different format than BroadcastByphone can recognize. The format needs to be 8KHz, 16 bit, mono, PCM
format. If your format is different, you can also use the
Sound Recorder to convert it to this format. To correct this,
follow these steps:
- Click on File->Properties. Properties screen will pop up.
- In Format Conversion, choose "Recording Formats", then
click "Covert Now...". Sound Selection screen will pop up.
- In Attributes, choose "8.000 KHz, 16 Bit, Mono".
- click "OK".
Now you are ready to load myrecord.wav file to
BroadcastByPhone or AutoReminder. It will play the message for
you when you dial a number.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that you
do not have any silence in the beginning of your recording.
The silence will likely to cause people to hang up.
3. Record your message using other recording device to
create a .wav file. Once the file is created, you may need to
convert the format to "8 KHz, 16 Bit, Mono". You can use
Microsoft sound recorder to do the format conversion, message
editing and reduce silent period at the beginning of the
message.
4. Use Text-to-Speech. Select Designer > Create audio by
text-to-speech and let your computer generate the audio
message.
5. Use a professional recording studio. Simply google
"voice talent" and you should be able to find a great
selection of professional voices that are affordable. Try
voice123.com if you cannot find any.
You can set the maximum retry time and the time for
broadcasting.
From main menu, select Broadcast -> Start/Schedule. Select
the recorded audio file and click Broadcast Now.
