Setup programming platform

I have a few questions before setting up the programming platform for the database connectivity: Does your software install everything needed to run the Java code, or do I need to download the Java Machine from Sun, and install it on the server where the Voicent app resides ? If so, does it matter what version it is ? Does the JDBC driver need to be installed on the server that is running Voicent, or on the SQL Server box, or both? I am assuming it only needs to go on the Voicent box.

Once you installed Voicent software, Java virtual machine (JVM) is installed automatically. It is not the latest version, so you can upgrade to the latest release if you want. You need to install the JDBC driver on the gateway server.

You may also need to install the Java SDK to compile you own code. But it is not required for the gateway to run.
