Skype IVR

Hi, we are looking for a solution where are people could dial into an IVR system using a normal cell phone calling a skype number. They will need to enter their employee number which will query a database and return a name for verification and then enter a land location number (also query a db) then check in or out which will update a database. What products would we need to do this? Thanks

You need Voicent IVR Studio, which is specifically designed for this kind of IVR application. You can download the IVR software and give it a try. The best place to start is the product walkthrough, from the program’s Help menu.

You can set up Voicent software to use Skype. Once your IVR application is deployed from IVR Studio, Voicent system will automatically answer any call to your skype number. Once connected, your IVR application will kick in to interact with the caller and backend database.

Automated system to answer calls

I have the following need. Over a set of Voip lines build an automatic system that answer calls, gives informations, makes questions and records the answers provided by callers.
Is your IVR Studio able to do this?

Yes. That’s what IVR Studio is designed for. Basic features like giving information, making questions and recording answers are already built-in. All you need to do is add an node to your call flow diagram in the IVR Studio design GUI environment. If you need further integration, such as accessing your company database or web site, there are also advanced actions/features you can use.

To get started, simply download the software, go through the IVR Studio Tutorial, and try some of the included samples. You can use standard based VOIP services or VOIP capable PBX systems with Voicent software.

we are a not profit public interest organization devoted to fraud combat in Brazil (www.fraudes.org). We are now willing to start a new public interest service aimed at preventing and combating fraudes. This system will provide voip numers to call and inform frauds. Since this will be no profit and we have no funds to pay for human attendants we’re thinking to deliver a ivr automated interview system. We need to know if your system can do what we need, which is:

1) operate on voip lines
2) run on a normal windows system.
3) answer inbound voip calls
4) make programmed questionsto caller (coming from pre-recorded wav files).
5) get and record (again wav files or similar) called answers for each question.
6) at the end provide/inform to the called a DB generated protocol number

Yes, IVR Studio should be able to do all of the above and beyond.

Adjust generated TTS voice

I also notice the text to speech can say “Pediatrics” but not “Pediatrics of Kempsville” clearly. Should we just say “Pediatric office”. Do you want me to send a message to you to hear “Pediatrics of Kempsville”? What do you suggest.

One suggestion is to use different words to get the correct pronounciation. The words do not need to make sense or even a valid english word. You can try “Kamps-vil”, “Kemps vil”, “Pediatrics of . Kempsville”. etc.
