Predictive Dialer – Setup Dialing Rule

Voicent Agent Dialer will dial the phone numbers exactly as you entered. For example, if you enter 408-999-9999 in the Agent Dialer spreadsheet, the system will dial 4089999999. For long distance, you might need to add 1 in front of the number. Or if it is a local number, you should just enter 999-9999 without the area code.

If you do not want to change the number in the spreadsheet, you could set up the dialing rule on Voicent Gateway. Please click on the Voicent Gateway icon, select Setup > Options > Outbound. In the dialog window, please set the appropriate dialing rules.

The “Dial x for outside line” can be used more creatively. To Voicent system, it is just a prefix to be dialed before the main number. For example, you can specify “*67″ to block your caller ID, or some calling card access number.

Use Force Dialer – Semi-automatic dialer

I am interested in your AgentDialer product. I want to use it to make outbound sales calls. When an answering machine answers, I would like to play a prerecorded voice message requesting a call back. If a human answers, I don’t want to play the outbound message. If it has started playing to an answering machine and the called party picks up the phone, I must be able to stop the outgoing message playback and start talking to the called party.

Agent Dialer can do exactly what you specified. What you specified is the “semi-automatic” mode of operation.

The semi-automatic dialer is a human controlled dialing system. You should be able to start and stop any time you like. Or you can play pre-recorded message and stop it if you wish. You can also transfer the call to another party. For more details about semi-automatic dialer (sometimes called force dialer), please see use force dialer
