Sipgate Auto Attendant IVR

Having now downloaded the voicent gateway 7.0.2 I am still unable to get the Voicent gateway working, it displayed another message, which is stated below.

Status: Failed to start
Event_Category_linestate::REGISTER_FAILED::CAUSE_UNKNOWN

For your reference I have also attached the updated version of the gateway log files. Looking forward to your prompt reply..

From the log files, we noticed that the STUN server is listed as:

stun.sipgate.net:10000

This is not correct. The number 10000 is the port number. You must change the STUN server to:

stun.sipgate.net

and set the port to 10000 on the SIP setup page of Voicent Gateway.

General information about setting up SIP based VOIP services for Voicent is available online.

Having followed your instructions the Voicent gateway is still not working, it is giving the same error message

How do you register a SIP softphone? Each line of Voicent is a SIP softphone. What you can do is contact sipgate to setup the x-lite softphone. Once it is working, use the same settings for Voicent.

I would like to say my Sipgate softphone is working perfectly well and i can receive and make calls however what i cannot get to work is the Voicent Gateway. I have implemented all the settings of sipgate to the Voicent gateway but it just displays the same error message. For your reference i have attached the updated logs of the Voicent Gateway.

One thing we noticed from the log file is that the SIP ID is not of the standard format:

sip:my_sip_account@mysipdomain.com

So if you have an SIP account 1234567 with sipgate.co.uk, you should use:

sip:1234567@sipgate.co.uk

Thankfully by following your instructions and adding a final extension to the sip id, the Voicent gateway decided to run however once dialing the Sip telephone number the sipgate Xlite softphone rings rather than the Voicent Gateway.

I am struggling to get the autoattendant Ivr program working on my Sip tel line

That’s good news.

To turn on inbound call, please select Gateway main menu > Setup > Options > inbound, then uncheck “do not pickup incoming call”

Somehow it still does not pickup the call

Please login to your sipgate account. From the home page, you should see a box labeled “status”. If Voicent Gateway is running, you should see the status as online. If you click the link labled Device (details), you should see all registered sip devices. For Voicent Gateway, you should see “VoicentPhone” as the device type. The status means the gateway has registered with sipgate service and is ready to answer calls.

Call your sipgate phone number using a regular phone. Voicent Gateway should answer the call.

One further thing to check is your Windows firewall program, such as McAfee Security Center. Please make sure you have granted “Full access” to Voicent Gateway programs. For details, please see troubleshooting SIP configurations
