Caller ID and number of rings

We purchased your FlexPBX/IVRStudio Enterprise 4 line.

I understand you have caller id capability, but the __VG__CALLER_ID_NUMBER__ and __VG__CALLER_ID_NAME__ variables are empty.

What do we have to do to make that work? Log files are submitted

The following lines are in the log files:

For analog phone lines, the caller ID information might not be available on the first ring. It looks like that name and phone become available between the first and second ring.

What you can do is instruct the gateway to wait for the 3rd or 4th ring to answer incoming calls. To do so, select gateway main menu > setup > options &gt Inbound, and set the correct rings.
