VOIP IVR

Can I use IVR Studio with my VOIP service?

In almost all cases, the answer is yes.

First, most VOIP service are SIP based and Voicent IVR Studio supports SIP service directly (without using any hardware). SIP is the standard for VOIP services. Besides the standard based VOIP services, there are three notable VOIP services: skype, vonage, and magicjack.

If you use Skype, which is a VOIP service but not SIP based, you can use Voicent IVR Studio with Skype directly also. Actually, Skype is going to support SIP soon through its Skype for SIP also.

Vonage does support SIP though you have to purchase its soft phone feature.

MagicJack is actually SIP based, but its SIP credential is not open to customers. Unless you are a techie, most people will not be able to use the SIP directly. But you should still be able to use Voicent IVR Studio with it. All you need to do is to connect a voice modem to the MagicJack key.
