Configuring Voicent gateway for Freshtel VoIP Service

Freshtel is an Australian VoIP service provider. It supports IAX2 or SIP for free calls between users and paid calls to the PSTN.       Currently today Freshtel VoIP service requires an Australian address to register. Other than that, this VoIP service cannot do Emergency Calls (000). So, in order to make Emergency Calls you need to have a fixed line or mobile service.

Freshtel VoIP service has both pre-paid and post-paid plans. In pre-paid plans, in the event of unused prepaid credit within 6 months prior to the date of activation it will expire.  In terms of its fair use policy which applies to all customers; a maximum of 180 minutes per call is allowed, all flat rate calls to Australian landlines is limited to just a total of 2500 minutes per month and 3000 minutes per month for the most expensive post-paid plan.  Freshtel also have the right to exempt specific customers. The post-paid rates are also still pretty competitive.
