Setup Voicent Software with Freshtel

Step 1: Collect Freshtel SIP Information
For more details about setting up a softphone with Freshtel, go to Freshtel’s website. Select Support, then Configuration, and then take a look at topics related to setting up X-lite Softphone or generic SIP devices.

Step 2: Setup Voicent with Freshtel
In order to setup Freshtel properly with Voicent’s software, you need to open the Voicent Software, then travel to Setup > Options > SIP > Add.

Display Name: The name you want to display in the account
SIP ID/User ID: This is your Vonage SIP/Authorization ID
Domain: This is your Vonage Registrar information
Authorization User: This is your Vonage SIP/Authorization ID
Password: This is your Freshtel SIP Password (different from your Freshtel account password!)

I’ll be using the following settings:
Display Name: John Smith
SIP ID/User ID: 888000
Domain: sip.freshtel.net
Authorization User: 888000
Password: Your SIP password

Other Relevant Information
Codecs: make sure PCMA, PCMU, ILBC is selected.

Setup Voicent Software with i2 Telecom

Step 1: Collect i2 Telecom SIP Information
In order to obtain your SIP information from i2 Telecom, you need to login to your account and record the SIP credentials listed.

Step 2: Setup Voicent with i2 Telecom
In order to enter this information in the Voicent software, travel to Setup > Options > SIP > Add. Here you can add a new SIP account.

Display Name: The name you want to display in the account
SIP ID/User ID: This is your i2 Telecom SIP/Authorization ID
Domain: This is your i2 Telecom Registrar information
Authorization User: This is your i2 Telecom SIP/Authorization ID
Password: This is your i2 Telecom SIP Password (not your account password!)

I’ll be using the following settings:
Display Name: My Name
SIP ID/User ID: 1516000000
Domain: 72.5.80.154
Authorization User: 1516000000
Password: Your SIP password

Other Relevant Information
You need to setup your Stun Server
Stun: stun1.noc.ams-ix.net
We use stun.xten.com for the stun server. You could use yours, the result should be the same.

Configure Broadvoice VoIP Service with Voicent

Step 1: Setup Broadvoice Account & Gather SIP Information
To start, you need to purchase a Broadvoice service to configure with Voicent’s platform. You can do so here. Once you have an account you should obtain access to your SIP credentials.

Step 2: Configure Broadvoice with Voicent’s Platform
To configure Broadvoice VoIP service with Voicent software, enter the SIP credentials as followed. Also make sure to replace the SIP ID and username with your provided information. To add new SIP credentials, open the Voicent’s Software > Setup > Options > SIP > Add.

Fill in the information based on the data you gathered from Step 1:
Display Name: The name you want to display in the account
SIP ID/User ID: This is your Broadvoice SIP/Authorization ID
Domain: This is your Broadvoice Registrar information
Authorization User: This is your Broadvoice SIP/Authorization ID
Password: This is your Broadvoice SIP Password (not your account password!)

I’ll use the following SIP credentials(found in the image above):
Display Name: My Name
SIP ID/User ID: 3230000000
Domain: sip.broadvoice.com
Authorization User: 3230000000
Password: Your SIP password

Equally important: DO NOT set a stun server. Just leave the field blank even the Voicent App may warn you about an empty stun server.
