Wait for onhold message

I want a facility to automatically redial a busy number until it answers and then to talk to that person (or on hold message). Do any of your solutions allow for this? Your BroadcastbyPhone doesn’t seem to allow me to take over the call

BroadcastByPhone autodialer can redial a busy number. You can specify the total number of retries also. However, BroadcastByPhone is an autodialer, it will not allow you to take over the phone.

In order to take to the callee (take over the phone), the callee presses a key to have the call transferred to a different phone number or computer. So if this is applicable, you can design a message for the autodialer, and repeat the message “this is John Doo calling, please press 1 to talk to me” while the other side is playing the onhold message. When the touch tone key is pressed, the software will either transfer the call to another phone or to an computer with a screen popup. If the call is transferred to a computer, you can use a computer headset to talk or just use the computer’s speaker and microphone.

To design such an outbound message, you need to use Voicent IVR Studio.

If you would like to listen to the onhold message yourself, you can try to use Voicent AgentDialer, and use the semi-automatic mode to call.

Autodialer handling voicemail

I have a question: If a cell number is called and the number is NOT answered live-will this software wait through the entire cell phone voice mail even through a “key press is required” voice mail message before starting the message? Will the software reconginze this situtation? Or upon the cell phone answering does the message start then? If that is the case is there any way around this situtaion? Thank you for giving this matter your attention

Broadcast by Phone auto dialer should handle most answering machines and voice mail systems correctly. For simple answering machines and voicemails, the system will wait till the beep and then play the message. The detection is based on statistics, so the system will make mistakes from time to time. No system today can be 100%. One useful tip is to repeat the answering machine message just in case.

For more complicated voice mail systems with different levels of menus, you need to design the outbound call to press the specific key at specific time. The design of your outbound message can be accomplished through Voicent IVR Studio. However, in order to do this, you have to know the system ahead of time.

If you have a particular system to test, you can download Voicent autodialer and IVR software and give it a try.
