D-Link router and SIP issues

I just purchased a D-Link router and now I can’t dial out using SIP with either my X-lite soft phone or your auto dialer

Several of our customers have been having an issue with D-Link and other routers when using a VOIP Service via SIP with either a soft phone like X-lite or our Predictive Dialer (Agent Dialer). The fix is to open up port 3478 on your D-Link or other router. You will want to consult your user manual for your D-Link router or call their support for instructions on how to open ports on your router. Once you have done so, and assuming our SIP information is correct, our predictive dialer will operate flawlessly.

Ports used when SIP is used

When VOIP (SIP based) is used, Voicent Gateway needs to communicate with your VOIP providers by the following SIP ports:

Besides the standard gateway ports (8155, 8156 TCP), the following ports are used by the gateway to make SIP based calls:

Standard SIP port: 5060 TCP/UDP + LineNumber
SIP audio port: 9156 (UDP) + 2 x LineNumber

Where LineNumber is (0, 1, 2, 3, … , max licensed lines – 1). For example, the 2nd line uses 5061 and 9158.

When run Voicent RemoteAgent from a different location, it needs to access Voicent gateway and transferred audio.

Gateway Remote Agent Port: 8455 + LineNumber TCP
Gateway Remote Agent Audio Port: 8455 + LineNumber UDP

Make predictive dialer to dial faster

is there anyway to set the predictive dialer up so it will dial faster

The following settings are used to control the predictive dialing speed.

From Voicent Gateway > Setup > Options

1. From the Advanced tab, set Disconnect as soon as answering machine is detected

This option assumes you do not need to leave any message on answering machine or voice mail

2. From the Outbound tab, set Hangup time to the minimum 5 seconds

Also make sure no interval dialing is set

From Voicent Agent Dialer > Predictive > Options

3. Set Make calls as faster as possible

There are other factors that will affect the predictive dialing speed. One is available agent. No call will be made if all agents are busy on the phone. The other is the number of lines.
