Setup Agents in the Office for Predictive Dialing

i am still trying to get to grips with this dialler. we have a 4 line dialler system. there is also a remote client (which i assumed is for 1 person coming in remotely via the internet.

How do i set up agents in the office so that they can get calls put through to them and pop up emails. is there a way to this, or is this why the remote client is for (which i only have one off).

When you use predictive dialing, and when a call is answered by a live human, the call will be automatically transferred to an available agent. To set up, please follow these steps:

1. On the gateway computer, select Gateway main menu > Setup > Options > Call Transfer, and make sure Use Screen Popup is selected.

To Setup an agent computer:

2. Install Client Program called “RemoteAgent” from Voicent installer. Point the host to the gateway computer instead of the default “localhost”

3. Whenever the agent is ready to receive call, login from the RemoteAgent Program.

For more details, including setup agent in a remote location like home, please select Windows Start > All Programs > Voicent > Enterprise Edition Setup Guide.

There is also a predictive dialer specific user setup guide. It can be accessed from AgentDialer’s main menu > Help > Predictive dialer setup guide

Predictive Dialer remote client can’t see host

I’m using your predictive dialer and can’t get the remote host to see the Voicent Gateway where I’ve installed your predictive dialer (Agent Dialer) system

First, I would try to ping the IP address of the system that you have installed our predictive dialer on. If the remote system that you installed the remote agent on cannot see the system you installed our predictive dialer on than either a router between the 2 systems is blocking ports 8155 – 8156, or the firewall on the system that you installed our predictive dialer on is blocking those ports. You will want to consult your user manual for both your Windows XP or Windows Vista firewall as well as your router. Your router is likely either made by Lynksis, Netgear, or D-link. If so, you can also contact support at those companies for assistance.

To find more information about setting up RemoteAgent, please refer to the Enterprise Edition Setup Guide. It can be accessed from Windows Start Button > Programs > Voicent.

Comcast Digital Voice issues

I can’t get your auto dialer to work with my Comcast Digital Voice. I am using a voice modem to connect. It works sometimes and many times it does not.

The modem is made for traditional analog phone lines. With Comcast Digital Voice, it supports analog and digital.

It is actually pretty easy to fix the problem:

You will need to either get an analog to digital converter or simply plug in an old 2 pin phone cord to get this to work with your Comcast Digital Voice. You can likely find these items at your local electronics store or you may have an old cable already. The digital cables (if you look at the end) have 4 pins, the old analog cables only use the middle 2 pins or wires. An alternate fix, if you have the tools and/or skill would be to simply cut the outside wire on either side of the cable on both ends just before the plug. However, I would do this at your own risk. You may go through a couple cables before you get it right and might ultimately be cheaper if you simply purchase an old analog cable. Once you have done this, plug the cable into the voice modem on your system and into the wall jack to essentially make the Comcast Digital Voice signal analog to the system.

Or you can switch to VOIP, which requires no modem and phone line.
