Leaving a Voicemail with Predictive Dialer

When running a Predictive Dialer campaign, it can be useful to leave a voicemail in the case that you aren’t connected with a live-answer callee. This lets you leave your name, number, and any other necessary contact information on the leads answering machine. It’s a great way to ensure maximum engagement and drive in-bound leads through your contact center as well. To get started with voicemail drops, you need to upload audio for the voicemail.

After uploading audio to drop for voice mails, you’ll need to start the predictive dialer wizard. This process includes naming the campaign, selecting a call list, selecting agents to assign to the campaign, and finally designating any optional messages. Optional messages are messages that can be played for live and machine answers, so this is where we can designate to play a message for answering machines. Take a look at the picture below to see where this option is in the predictive dialer campaign wizard:

Upon expanding the Optional Messages menu, you’ll find two options. The first is Live Answer, and the second is Machine Answer. For this tutorial we only need to worry about Machine Answer, so leave Live Answer empty. In the Machine Answer option, select the audio you’ve uploaded that you want to play for Answering Machines:

Now you’ve successfully added a Voicemail message to your Predictive Dialer campaign, so any answering machines encountered will be played that audio!
