Requirements for setting up IVR

What’s required to setup a 4 line inbound ivr system integrated to a web server? 1.Hardware/software? 2.Communication line?3.Voicent product?

The recommended phone service for an inbound IVR system is VOIP, either SIP based or Skype. The hardware requirement for a VOIP based IVR system is a Windows based PC, there is no other hardware required. For Voicent product, use IVR Studio, which is a GUI based IVR design environment and a system to deploy IVR applications. The best way to get started is to download the IVR Studio Product and give it a try. You can start with the product walkthrough from the program Help menu.

Voice application development platform

Our company is looking for a voice application development tool, which should meet following demands:

1. Generated voice application should work on Avaya Voice Platform as well as on Genesys and Cisco Voice Platforms

2. This tool should provide easy to use Web interface for development tasks

I would appreciate it if you could let me know about such a product.

The product that fits your specification is called IVR Studio, which is a GUI based design platform for interactive voice applications. Included in the product, is an inbound license for Voicent VoiceXML gateway. We have a lot of samples, both inbound and outbound tutorials, and reference online under the developer section

The IVR development platform supports database integration, Java programming interface, and many other extension methods.

All Voicent products support web interface (HTTP), so does Voicent Gateway. There is a built in web interface in IVR Studio. It is possible to develop an IVR application, integrated with your website, with little programming.

Voicent platform support any SIP based VOIP system or service. So as long as your system is standard based VOIP, you should be able to use Voicent software for your IVR application.

You can download the IVR software and give the above mentioned product a try.

IVR to answer customer questions

I’m interested in your products. I own a small business and handle a fairly large number of calls which use up most of my time. I need a software that could help me set up an Interactive response system. So that when customers call they call easily navigate through and obtain the info they need and that i would only be ringed in a case where they could not find an answer to what they are looking for in the interactive menu.

I wanted to know which product would i need and how much it would cost me. I currently use a VOIP toll free number; would that be compatible with the service i’m looking for ? Thank You

The product you need is called IVR Studio, which is a tool for designing and deploying IVR applications. The price for the product is listed in our online store.

You can also download the software the give it a try. We have a lot of samples included in the product.

Depending on your application, you may need to hire someone to customize IVR Studio for your particular application. For example, if you need your IVR application to link to your web site or custom database, you will need to do some programming. If you do not have anyone on your staff can do that, you can either hire someone online or we can refer some developers for you.
