Failed to start Skype line

I have chosen the manual start of skype because the auto start option didn’t work. when I start Gateway it ends with Eror; Wait authorization for accessing Skype. status: failed to start. I have provided a password and and user account forgateway to use. It must be some thing I missed.

You have to go to SKype window and set allow voicent to access it. Just click the error message for Help. You can also take a look at the help video by clicking the video link on Gateway main menu > setup > options > Skype window.

When I look at the Skype window-tools-options-advanced-allow other programs accesss to Skype. There is no evidence that gateway has tried to access Skype. There is no Skype event related to authorization

If there are two Skype instances running on your computer, one is running in another login session, and the other the current one. The gateway is probably trying to connect to the Skype instance that is in another login session. That’s why you do you see the Skype event in the current login session.

You can login to that account, and take care of the Skype authorization (for vxengine.exe) event, then switch back to the original account, restart the gateway.
