How to Use IVR Studio
You don’t need a technical background to take advantage of IVR Studio. However, if you do, you can create powerful IVR systems that are fully integrated with your corporate environment. You can design and deploy your IVR project
all within IVR Studio’s easy-to-use graphical user interface. The following are frequently used operations:
Download and Install
First, download the software and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
Configure Phone Service To Use
Voicent software can use several phone services: VOIP phone service (such as SkypeConnect, Vonage Softphone, Callcentric, any SIP trunk provider, etc), PBX system with SIP extensions (like Cisco, Avaya, Asterisk, etc), or traditional analog phone service.
For testing purpose, it is easier to configure the software to use a VOIP service or PBX’s SIP extension.
Open Voicent Gateway, select Setup > Options > Inbound Tab, then uncheck the box labeled “Do not pickup incoming calls”.
Restart the gateway and call the number that the gateway is configured to use.
The gateway should answer the call and play a short welcome prompt, and disconnect.
So far, there is no IVR application installed on the gateway. To have IVR application designed and installed, please take a look at IVR Tutorial and included samples.
