New Toolbar and Features Enhance Latest Version of Popular Sound Editor

NCH Software, a provider of audio, video, business and telephony VoIP tools and utilities, announced an updated graphical interface and several new tools included with the release of WavePad Audio Editor version 5.0.

The interface now features a ribbon toolbar that categorizes editing, effects, and tools on their own selectable toolbars, streamlining the user workflow and updating the look of the program, according to the company.

WavePad continually receives praise for its extensive audio editing capability, presented in an accessible interface that beginning and advanced audio users alike can navigate with efficiency, according to the company.

Its feature set includes recording, editing, and effects such as amplify, normalize, reverb, echo, and reverse and is extended by DirectX effects and VST plugin support, and an included royalty-free sound effect library. The new ribbon toolbar organizes all these aspects of the program, improving an already easy-to-use workspace.

The newest version also includes added effects and tools that give users more control over the emotive quality of their audio samples, the company said.
