VoIP by media tablet about to soar?

While PC shipments world-wide grew at a much slower 2.9 percent pace, shipments for media tablets such as Apple’s iPad2, increased by nearly 90 percent last quarter, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).

That suggests that the number of consumers using VoIP hardware on their media tablets may soon soar.

The IDC said media tablet shipping rose by 88.9 per cent last quarter and increased more than 300 percent when compared to 2010 figures.
