Setting up Skype Connect with Voicent

This is a tutorial that will go over the steps required to set up an outbound or inbound Skype Connect SIP profile for Voicent Software.

  1. Create Skype Connect Account.
  2. Sign in to your Skype Account and then sign up for a Skype Manager Account.
  3. Log-in to the email account related to your Skype Account and click the Activation link.
  4. Navigate to Skype Manager Dashboard.
  5. Now go to the Skype Connect section of Skype Manager.
  6. Set up a SIP Profile.
  7. Give your SIP Profile a name.
  8. Purchase the desired number of channels, for 1 phone call at a time you will need 1 channel.
  9. Add at least $10.00 for calling credits.
  10. Click “View Profile” and on that “View Profile” page, you will see “Authentication Details” on the left side, click “Authentication Details”.

On the “Authentication Details” page, you will see some information that looks like:

  • SIP User 99051000203837
  • Password ********
  • Skype Connect address sip.skype.com
  • UDP Port 5060
  1. Open the “Voicent Gateway”, it is in the bottom right of your computer nears the windows clock.
  2. Go to “Setup”
  3. Go to “Phone Call Setup Wizard”
  4. Click “Next >”
  5. Click “Next >” again
  6. Select “Use Skype Connect” and hit “Next >”
  7. Enter the required information

Your Voicent Gateway will restart is now in working condition!
