Window 7 and voice modem

My IT dept replaced our computers with new ones running Windows 7. They transfered the voicent voice modem into the new computer. I have purchased the transfer license to move the software to the new computer. The new computer gives the error that the software is not setup for telephone service. Am I unable to use BroadcastByPhone with a voice modem and Windows 7? Will I be able to in the future? or am I forced to use a different option? We like your product very much and hope to be able to continue to use it. – Mark, City Treasurer, Bountiful, Ut

Unfortunately, voice modem is not going to work on Windows Vista or Windows 7. The reason is that the modem driver does not support audio well on these platforms.

For Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must configure Voicent software to use VOIP to make and receive phone calls. When VOIP is used, you do not need a physical phone line or a voice modem. Calls will be made over the internet through a VOIP service company. For more information, please take a look at SIP based VOIP service or Skype.
