System Requirements

On Premise Software Help Resource : Help TopicsSystem Requirements

For a single line system

Hardware requirement:

  • Intel or compatible CPU that is at least 500M Hz
  • Minimum 256M memory
  • (Not required if using Skype) A voice modem and a working phone line

Software requirement:

  • Windows 2000 or later

A working voice line is also required if using a voice modem

Voice modem requires an analog phone line. Analog phone lines are the ones used in most residential homes or the ones used by fax machines behind corporate PBX boex. Analog lines provided by Voice over IP (VoIP) services like Vonage can also be used, provided a router/phone adapter is available.

For multi-line system

The more lines you have, the more memory and CPU power required. For example, a 4-line system needs at least 512M memory and 1 GHz CPU. If you are using Voicent Natural Text-to-speech engine, you should use an additional 512M memory, and use a machine with 3 GHz CPU.

SIP or Skype

Running Skype normally requires more CPU power since most of the actions are performed by software instead of modem hardware.

The system could also make simulataneous calls with Skype by running multiple Skype instances on the same computer.
