VOIP Dialer
A VOIP Dialer is simply a dialer software that makes calls over Voice over IP (VOIP). Instead of using the traditional phone service for calls, a VOIP dialer utilizes your internet connection and uses a VOIP service provider. It is usually free to make calls to VOIP terminals, such as softphones. However, in order to call landline or cell phone (called VOIP termination), you need to pay for the VOIP service. Nowadays, there are many VOIP service providers, some offer monthly plans and others offer per minute plans. Comparing with traditional phone services, VOIP service usually offer much better rates for long distance calls. Actually most of them do not even distinguish between local and long distance calls.
Voicent BroadcastByPhone Autodialer and Voicent Agent Dialer (for predictive dialing and power dialing) are VOIP dialers. In addition, they also support traditional phone services (PSTN).
Besides the lower rates offered by VOIP service, VOIP dialers are easy to set up since there is no need to install any telephony hardware.
A VOIP dialer is also called a SIP dialer when the VOIP service uses SIP. VOIP is supported from Voicent software release 7.
