Setup Netgear WGT 624 for SIP

Netgear router normally rewrites SIP packets due to their stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall. In order to setup Voicent software to use SIP based VOIP service, you must disable SPI from the router. Depending on your firmware version, the exact steps and links might be different from what is listed below. Please check your router manual for details.

1. Log in to the routers administration page through your web browser, by default the page should be located at http://192.168.1.1.

2. On the left menu under “Advanced” click the “WAN Setup” link. Under “WAN Setup” there should be a checkbox labeled “Disable SPI Firewall”. Check that box and click the apply button.

3. Restart Voicent Gateway
