I recently downloaded the demo suite to try BroadcastByPhone. After successfully getting it configured locally to work with our VOIP system and testing calls both internally and externally, I have a few questions before proceeding.

One thing I noticed during the demo was some lag in the call rolling and a very noticeable slowdown in the recording playback at times. Is that known behavior, a demo limitation, or something else?

To confirm, when ordering and selecting the number of channels, that designates the number of simultaneous calls the system can place at once? Is there any impact to the resources needed by the host system as the call load scales higher?

Finally, the Enterprise Edition features remote login to start a campaign. How does that work from a technical standpoint? Just curious if it is a web interface, remote desktop session, or something similar.

Answer:

The slowdown time can be related to multiple factors. For demo version, it can be longer delay due to the Voicent trial message play. It can also be caused by your computer power or internet speed.

Yes, when ordering and selecting the number of channels, that designates the number of simultaneous calls the system can place at once. The impact to the resources needed by the host system as the call load scales higher is fairly small if you just purchase a small number of channels (less than 20). If you use more than 100+ channels, then the impact would be noticeable.

The Enterprise Edition features remote log-in to start a campaign. From technical standpoint, the remote use just need to download the Voicent Dashboard, connect to the server computer and operate from the Dashboard.
