voice message delay time

Question:

I use Voicent licensed software Broadcstby phone. I would like to reduce the
time between when the phone is answered and my message is played. I tried the
beep option, and I have edited out any delay on the start of the wav. This has
helped some. I would like to reduce it more, is there anything else I could do. I
use a 3025 Zoom V.92 PCI voice faxmodem and Telephonics driver.

Answer:
The initial delay is caused by the modem speed, no much we
can do since Voicent software can not change the hardware
response time. The normal delay is about 2.5 seconds and
it is acceptable.

The only way to minimize the delay is to make sure there is
no silence before the recorded message. If you use our
telephone recording feature (Voicent Gateway -> Operation ->
Recording), The delay is minimized.
