Will Voicent work with a wireless isp such as Clear.com?

Yes. As long as consistent bandwidth of over 128kb/sec upload and download speeds can be reached per channel. An unofficial trick to getting the best bandwidth with Clear is to point the Clear modem toward a cellular tower at a less than 45 degree angle, not straight up as directed. If you are unaware of the closest cell tower, use Speakeasy to test your bandwidth then rotate the modem 180 degrees and re-test the bandwidth. Do this a few more times while cutting down the angle and you should get a sense of the best direction to point the modem.

Speech recognition usage

How exactly is the speech recognition implemented in speech command? Does one have to call the sapisvr.exe under ‘run command’ ? I cannot find a way to do this this with parameters. Or how to feed whatever is spoken to the recognition engine

With Voicent, you do not need to run speech command yourself. The speech recognition is part of Voicent Gateway, it will be started automatically when the gateway is started. You also do not need to call any speech recognition command directly. The interface to speech recognition command is at a much higher level. For details, please see Voicent IVR Studio or Voicent Gateway developer guide.

Can I use a multi-line PRI telephone system?

With PRI, you normally connect the lines to a PBX system. So as long as the PBX system supports IP extentions, Voicent software can use these PRI lines through the PBX system. Basically, you creates SIP extensions on the PBX system, then configure Voicent software to use these SIP extensions. For more configuration details, please see Setup Voicent to Use Your PBX System
