Test appointment reminder call transfer

And should the “call transfer” option work with the free demo? I was trying to set it up so that it would transfer a call after the caller pressed 0 and I couldn’t get it to work

Yes, it should work on the demo.

Please make sure the call transfer settings are configured correctly. Open Voicent Gateway > Setup > Options > Call Transfer. Click the Help button for more instructions.

Appointment blocked time

if we license multiple users, can you specify daily availability for each user? For instance, what if Dr. Smith is only going to be in from 8am-11am today. Can you block off from 11-5pm so no one schedules anyone to see him during that time, but just for today?

With AutoReminder, blocked times can be easily set and flexibly controlled through the recurring appointments.

For example, if you want to block every Monday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM for Dr. Smith, simply create an recurring appointment to block that time. You can call it “not available” and make sure to select “no reminder call” for the appointment. If you want to block some time only once, just create an appointment that is not recurring.

Appointment backup

I would like info on backing up the appointment data in Autoreminder. Are the appointments stored in a database, or are they individual files? Where are they located and what is the best method for backing up appointments and recordings, and any other user info that would need to be backed up?

All the appointment information is saved as files. They are under several folders:

C:\Program Files\Voicent\AutoReminder\apps
C:\Program Files\Voicent\AutoReminder\data
C:\Program Files\Voicent\AutoReminder\rcall

Scheduled calls are under Voicent gateway folder:

C:\Program Files\Voicent\Gateway\reqs
C:\Program Files\Voicent\Gateway\webapps

If disk space is not a problem, you can simply save the Voicent folder:

C:\Program Files\Voicent

If you use a backup program, it may automatically save only the changes to the Voicent folder. In that case, you do not have to worry about disk space since only the changes are saved and backed up.
