Install Voicent Programs

I have recently bought a voicent 3025 modem. The installation of the zoom driver seems to be ok. But I have a problem with the voicent gateway. This is the message :
Status failed to start
Starting Telephony Engine vxengine.exe for line 1

Do you have any other phone software installed on your computer? For example, fax software?

I don’t have any other phone software on my computer. Now voicent gateway is running because I have stopped the McAfee Redirector service. But now this is the agentdialer who cannot connect to the gateway

It could be related to McAfee also.

When agentdialer starts, it will contact Voicent Gateway on the same computer. If McAfee blocks the connection, the program will give an error like “failed to connect to voicent gateway”

You can use a brower to try the address: “http://localhost:8155/ocall” to get more info.

Access to http://localhost:8155/ocall works

Is AgentDialer allowed by McAfee to connect to a URL or port?

Adialer.exe was blocked by the firewall. Now it works. Thanks for you reply.
I don’t know what is the consequence for my computer to stop the McAfee Redirector service …

You don’t have to stop the service. Just enable Voicent Programs within McAfee. For more information, please see:

Enable Voicent Gateway from McAfee Security Center
