Auto dialer lines setup

I have the Enterprise Edition of the Voicent BroadcastByPhone autodialer, and have successfully set up 3 modems. I have a spreadsheet that has multiple numbers to dial. Also the licenses listed when I bring up the GW software shows 4-line Enterprise Edition.

The problem is… The voicent software only dials serially… That is, it dials one spreadsheet entry on one line, and then waits for that line to give a result before attempting the second line.

I need the software to use all 3 lines simultaneously, and make 3 concurrent calls. How do I get it to do this.

As long as Windows recognize 3 voice modems, the gateway will use 3 modems to dial. Please check all modem drivers are installed correctly.

You can check the modem driver from Windows Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options.

Windows recognizes 3 voice modems in Control Panel -> Phone and Modem Options -> Modems Each is set to the highest speed, and “Query Modem” succeeds for each modem.

In the GW software -> Options, it also sees 3 modems, and has “Use ==Yes” for all of them.

When I make a call with BroadCastByPhone, the first entry changes to “In Progress” while the modem dials. The second entry does nothing until the first is finished and a status is recorded.

I can confirm that the second call does use a different modem, but it does not start until the first is finished. Also, the second call fails with the error : “Failed. 03/21/08 17:57:00. Maximum retry reached. Line occupied.”

NOTE that I have tried different modems for the first and second calls… Meaning, I have run the campaign with Modem#1 first, then Modem#2 is called when the first call is finished, and I have re-run with Modem#2 calling (successfully), then Modem#3 being the second (failed) call. This doesn’t seem like just a modem issue.

It should work. The log files you sent to us indicate the system is using 3 modem lines.

A reboot of the windows modem machine seems to have resolved this issue.

Thanks for the assistance.
