Add another modem

I am a current customer and just received a 3rd modem and software so i could have 3 phone lines working BUT my computer does not have anymore room for a regular size modem, like the one that was sent, but does have a very small area for a smaller modem (acer model aspire T180 ast 180-ua381B and I spoke to Acer but they do not make a small modem for this smaller slot) Do you have one?

And if not, can i use the modem and software with another computer i have BUT it is VISTA, can your modem/software work on Vista yet? Thank you.

Unfortunately, the modem does require a regular PCI slot. The smaller slot is different and cannot be used. We also do not have other types of modems, and modem does not work on Vista either.

You could install the modem on another computer that runs Windows XP. However, that will require a separate software license. Since you cannot use the line upgrade on the original software, you could ask our salses to apply the line upgrade fee towards the purchase of a different license.

Modem is almost a legacy device now. The new telephony trend is to use VOIP, which is supported in Voicent release 7. With VOIP, you do not need any hardware (modem and physical phone line) to make phone call. All you need is internet connection and a VOIP service.

It is very easy to scale up the lines to make more simultaneous calls. With VOIP, you can go up to 100 lines per PC.
