Improve Email delivery

Many email servers (SMTP) nowadays may not deliver your emails if your bulk emails are considered by their spam checker. This is especially true if your email servers are from your ISP. In addition, even your SMTP server sends your email out, your email may still landed in people’s spam folder if it is considered to be spammy.

To improve your bulk email delivery, please consider the following:

  • Reduce spam keywords in your email subject and body. In general, sales related words like FREE, DISCOUNT etc are to be avoided. You should google it to find out more keywords to avoid
  • Increase the idle time between sending emails. You can set the value when you start your email campaign. If you have a small list, you should keep that value large, like 5 to 10 minutes
  • Personalize your email. Use an email template that utilize contact’s CRM fields. In Voicent’s email designer, you can insert these CRM fields to the email template, and these values will be replaced with actual values of the contacts.

Using command line

Here are info one of our customers want to share:

I have narrowed this down to the message in the voc. When I use one of the existing messages that have been working with other voc files, this voc file imports and starts.

When I set up a new message it does not work. The existing message setups play a wav then, for human pickup, use text to speech and a confirmation item of press 1 and transfer. The new message just plays a wav and then does the press 1 and transfer.

Ughh. I think I just found it. The campaigns are run using the Task Scheduler under credentials for taskrunner. I’ve been creating the message under my userid. For some reason, messages are stored in folders by userid. The message settings have to be copied from one copy of stdmsgs.txt to the other.

Could you document this somewhere please?

Thank you. We appreciate it very much.
