Appointment reminder call lines

If there are times, when I only want to call out using only 1 phone line instead of the 2 phone lines, is there anything I can do to just set it to call out on 1 line?

You can go to Voicent Gateway and disable one of the lines. For example, if you use modem, select the Modem tab of gateway setup options.

There is no other control for selecting lines.

You could control how many calls are allowed on a particular line. For example, you can set to make 1 call every 10 minutes. This is called “interval dialing”, and it can be set under gateway options too.

Change appointment reminder company name

How can we change the Company Name on the AutoReminder outgoing message. It seems to have used the Company name which I entered when I did the installation and we would like to change this.

You can record your own audio file to pronounce the company name. Please make sure the audio file format is PCM 8KHz, 16 bit, mono. You can also use Text-to-Speech engine to generate the audio file. For more help, please see Audio FAQ.

Once the audio file is ready, open Voicent Gateway, select Setup > My Name…, then select the audio file you just created. Next time AutoReminder makes a reminder call, it will use the newly created audio file for pronouncing the company name.

If the above is too much work, you can request a new product license key from Help > Request Product License. From the online form, specify the correct company name.

Cannot request license in Broadcast By Phone

When I try to request a license in Broadcast By Phone I get the error: “This operation can only be performed on a machine that runs Voicent Gateway” What do I need to do?

Getting this error in the Broadcast By Phone indicates that you do not have the “Broadcast Hosts” set to “localhost”. You likely have it set to the IP address of the system you have installed the Auto Dialer on. To resolve this issue go to “Broadcast” and select “Broadcast Host”. In the Voicent Gateway Servers window click the host you have entered to select it and press the “Disconnect” button. Once you have done this, click the host again to highlight it and press the “Edit” button. On the next screen where it says “Host Name or IP” remove the IP address and replace it with “localhost” (without the quotes) and press the “Add” button. Back on the first screen select the host again and press the “Connect” button. Now go to “Help” and “Request product license…”. Problem resolved.
