Automatic dialer call transfer notification

The program, Broadcast by Phone , is locking up my computer very often. It seems to only be when I use the call transfer option.

We found this line in the log files you submitted:

Alert cannot find agent for line: 1

Looks like you are using “same line call transfer” (gateway > setup &gt option &gt call transfer) and the system cannot find anyone who is logged in.

By default, if you are running locally, the gateway will automatically start an “agent” and log in, unless you turn off the local agent. It can be turn on or off using the gateway call transfer dialog window mentioned above. If the agent is not logged in, the system will not be able to transfer the call.

If you are using Enterprise edition and are using a remote computer, please make sure to log in using Voicent RemoteAgent program. Once logged in, the gateway will pop up a screen whenever there is call transfer.

Automatic dialer to call phone number with extension

I am wondering if BroadcastBYPhone supports calling phone numbers with extensions. If so, please let me know how to input the extensions in the spread sheet.

It normally will not work. If the main number is answered by a receptionist, then then system will not be able to dial the extension.

If the main number is answered by an automatic system, such as an IVR system, then the system might be able to dial the extension after some fixed delay. To enter delay, please use commas. For example, to call 800-123-4567 with extension 333, you can enter 800-123-4567,,,,,,,,333. The more commas you have, the longer the delay. This is not guaranteed to work, but might work for some known numbers that you can test it first.

Set auto dialer broadcast to start next day automatically

I am sending out a broadcast list. I only wanted it sent out once. I don’t want it to repeat. If it takes loger than a day ie. between teh hours of 10:00 am and 7:00 pm I want it to start the next day at 10: 00 am wher it stopped the previous day.

How do I set this up in the recurrance screen . It seems that It wants me to pick daily weekly or monthly, and I dont want either. I just want it to start and stop until it completes the list and not call any more.

You do not want to use the recurrence option for that. That will automatically erase the call status and make the same call again. The recurrence is used for setting the same broadcast on a regular basis, such as for a monthly meeting reminder calls.

What you need to do is select the “Automatically reschedule for next day broadcast if call cannot be finished” in the same Start broadcast dialog window.
