Autodialer transfer designed message

Lets say I have 2 PC named A and B. Both have different messages stored in them. I want to transfer 5 messages from A to B and at the same time retain the messages in B. Is that possible?

First, there is no automatic way to transfer the message. You have to copy and paste certain files.

In a designed message, it may also refer to audio files stored on machine A, so you need to copy these files to machine B. If you put them in the same location (folder path), then you do not need to change the designed message, otherwise, you need to change your designed message to point to the new location.

The designed messages are saved in file:
C:\Program Files\Voicent\BroadcastByPhone\data\stdmsgs.txt

Copy this file from machine A to B, then append (do not replace) the content to the original stdmsg.txt file. Restart Broadcast By Phone autodialer, you should see the messages moved from A.

Broadcast by Email track opened email

We have bought broadcast by email recently and have been trying to configure it to work. Most of the setting looks fine but i have not been able to make Tracing work. I have done all the things mentioned on your website regarding setting it up. So Enable open tracing button has been cofigured and Test works on it as we get “TEST Successful” message back. But we have not been able to manage to check the number / emails that have been opened. When we press “Update Open Statistics” all it does it bring a screen for split second and than nothing happens.

You might have a short list and the update is done in a second.

To further test your settings, please do the following:

1). Use Broadcast By Email to send yourself an email, please make sure the Open Email Tracking is checked. The item is listed under program main menu Broadcast > Enable Email Tracking.

2). When you receive the email, open it and try to view the HTML source and make sure the pixel tag is in the email. The pixel tag should have the following format:
<img src=”http://mywebsite.com/getimage.php?eid=unique_email_id”>

Please notice the tracking email id. That is unique for the email.

3). You should be able to take a look at your database to see if the open count has been updated or not.

4). Then check the following URL:

http://mywebsite.com/getopen.php?eid=list_of_comma_separated_eids

This is exactly how the Broadcast By Email checks your database.

5). Test the open tracking in Broadcast By Email. The status should contain the opened information.

Regulatory issues for automatic commercial phone mesage

Due to regulatory issues in Switzerland, we need approval of an automatic commercial message.

Does Voicent IVR studio offer this feature?

Example:

Hello Mr. “Name”, if you want to hear a message about car insurance, then press 1 now (commerical message follows *only* when user has pressed 1), if you need other information, press 2 (legal information about the sender follows), if you don’t want to hear any messages about car insurance, press 3 (user is removed from database)

Can your software handle different follow up voice messages, depending which key has been pressed?

Yes, BroadcastByPhone autodialer can be used to send automated phone message out. And you can use IVR Studio to design multiple messages like you describe.

You can take a look at the Multiple Language sample in IVR Studio. It asks the person called to press 1 for an English, press 2 or Spanish. Very similar to what you try to do.
