Beta Release 4.0.1

Okay, it’s here. In this release, call transfer functionality is added to all Professional edition products. When a person receives a call from AutoReminder or Broadcast, he or she can press a key for talking to a live human. You can either set call transfer using your phone company’s call transfer service or 3-way conference call, or use the same line with computer alert.

A new product, AgentDialer, is added to the product offering. It is a semi-automatic dialer to help telemarketing agents to increase their productivity. It can quickly dial phone numbers with the press of a key, play a pre-recorded message to answering machines, record phone conversations, and transfer call to another agent.

4.0 beta license is available and can be upgraded for free to the Release 4 production release.

Customize HTML webpage for Appointment Reminder

Question:

Can I make my own webpage in HTML and have my own HTML form add appointments to the AutoReminder list? If so, is there a way of sending the wave file that I want played through this webpage? Additionally, does the phone call have the ability to only play the wave file and not actually say when the appointment is scheduled for?

Answers:

1). Yes. You can make your own HTML webpage using the

element and submit your appointment to the AutoReminder handler.

2). You can submit (upload) your wave file to the web server. Today, AutoReminder does not accept uploaded file directly. However, you can create a upload handler in the embedded web server of Voicent Gateway. (This feature will be added in later versions of AutoReminder)

You can find the details of the HTML coding and web server programming on the web. There are plenty of information out there.

3). You can have the AutoReminder play your wave file without the appointment information. You need to use the Message designer to design your message (template), and then use it for your call. You will need to have the professional edition of AutoReminder.

No license after upgrade

Question:

I installed the update and now it does not recgonize that we have a license.

Answer:

If it is a major upgrade release and you have the previous release, you will need a new license. The major release is identified by the first release number. For example, release 2.1.1 belongs to the release 2 family. You will need to purchase upgrade in order to use release 3.1, for example. Upgrade in the same major release family is free and your old license should work.

First please make sure you update Voicent Gateway as well as AutoReminder or BroadcastByPhone.

If there is still problem, please select Setup > License from the gateway main menu. Select Manage License button. In the popup dialog, please see whether your license is listed. If yes, then your license is installed correctly.
