Setup Appointment Reminder by Text

Starting from release 8.1.2, you should be able to setup AutoReminder for appointment reminder by text. To activate this feature, open Voicent AutoReminder software, select Appointment > Customize Appointment… from the program main menu; select Text Reminder tab; select “Use Text Reminder”. Now, we you add a new appointment, the software will ask you about the text reminder time and message.

In addition, you should configure a SMS line on Voicent gateway. To do so, open Voicent Gateway, select Setup > Options > SMS tab. For more details, please check the Quick Start Guide included in the installation package. You can also access this document from Windows Start Button > All Programs > Voicent.

Set VXML block element timeout

I would like to set call timeout for the calls made through Voicent Outbound API. Because some of our customers placing the calls on hold for 5 to 10 minutes, affecting next calls. I can able to set timeout using “prompt” and that works well. But we are making some calls using simply <block> tag. That means we are not waiting for user input. We are making calls for just conveying schedule information. In that case what can we do if the user puts the call on hold.

You can enclose the <block> elements with <prompt>, and then specify ‘timeout’ value in the prompt element.

How many lines to purchase?

If I purchase the AutoDialer for $299 and I already have multiple lines on my VOIP (Skype business) so that multiple calls can be made simultaneously will I need to buy multiple lines on Voicent Gateway as well? Or do I just need to pay the $499 since my VOIP already has the multiple lines for me to use

You will need to have multiple-line/channel version of Auto dialer in order to utilize the multiple channels your VOIP service provide. For example, if you want to make 4 simultaneous calls, you need to have 4 channels from Skype Connect VOIP service, AND you need a 4-Line version of Voicent Broadcast By Phone Auto Dialer. You do not have to worry about Voicent Gateway, it is included in your BroadcastByPhone purchase.
