Simple voice call interface

We have a requirement to send the parameters, a text, a phone number to a voice gateway. The gateway must be able to dial to the phone number mentioned and speak out the text sent as a parameter.

Please let us know if we can achieve this by using your software. Also please let us know if its a freeware and can be downloaded to any machine and tested.

Yes, you can do what you specified and you can download and test the software.

We would like to know the call rate for every number dialed. Also we would like to know if the software is mandatory to be installed on our machine. Or if we can just call your server with a gateway IP address provided

We do not provide hosting service, so you have to set up the software on your computer. However, you can use our software with any SIP based VOIP service providers or Skype, as well as traditional landline phone services. The call rate depends on which service you choose. When you use a VOIP service, you do not need any telephony hardware in order to make phone calls. All you need is a computer that runs Voicent software.

Please note SIP support is only available after release 7.

Please provide and guide us regarding the API documentation

For your application, please see Voicent Gateway simple call interface. The interface includes many programming language support.

Download and check DNC List

This is exactly how I did the Do Not Call list. I hope you can tell me what I am doing wrong.

I download DNC file from the gov site

Name of file is 2009-6 etc
Type Text document
Location (archive root directory)

Then I unzip it to notepad (It goes there automatically)

Then I save the unzip file to Local Dick [C].

File name donotcall
Save as type Text Documents [“.txt]
Encoding ANSI

I open up Broadcastbyphone program
I Put a list of phone numbers in the phone section
I save the list to My recordings as tel number

I click on List
On the down list I click on Check do not call list

The Do Not Call window comes up
It automatically puts in C:\donotcall File (however it is asking for a folder)
Default area code for 7 digit number

I put in the digit area code I want it to check = 801 ( the list of area codes on the list is three different ones. Could This make a difference?

Then I click the OK

The widow pops up

There is no DNC files under the directory, Click Yes to continue, No to stop

Create a folder, such as C:\dnc, to hold your unzipped DNC list file. Then specify C:\dnc from the check DNC window. You can put any many unzipped DNC list in the folder as you like.

Status stays in “in progress”

i connected between skype and the gateway , pressed on “start” for broadCast to some of my private numbers but still the only thing that happens is that the statue changed to ” in process” and just staying on it

From the log file you submitted to us, there are some error message we do not understand:

m_pRecognizer->CreateRecoContext(&m_pRecoCtxt) failed : þþîôúç äáãé÷ä äîáå÷ù ìà ðîöà áàó ä÷ùø äôòìä ôòéì.

Maybe you can try to set the Windows locale to US English?

i tried to change the local version of windows to english but i don’t have the english version cd so right now i don’t have any way to do so, is that a problem?

It should work if all files and other information are in English (ASCII instead of Unicode).

When the BBP program shows “in progress”, could you please take a look at the folder C:\Program Files\Voicent\gateway\outcall\reqs

Are there any .req files created in that folder?

Also, you can send us the log files under:

C:\Program Files\Voicent\gateway\outcall\logs

(They are scheduler logs different from the general gateway logs you submitted through Help > Report Problems)

i checked what you wanted me to check, there is .req files that created in the folder but because the software always get stuck in the first call only one file have been created

From the log file you sent us, we see the following:

C:/Program Files/Voicent/Gateway/outcall/webapps/Vcast/????/vxml/0/bcast_0.vxml

The ??? is the computer host name. This name is probably not ASCII, so the software won’t recognize it.

What you can do is rename the computer using English letters only.

great its working !!
