Autodialer advanced options

I need more explanation on these 3 otions

a)__ Force message play
b)Disconect after __ rings
c) if not anserd dissconet after ___ sec

a). When an outbound call is made by the system, it keeps a timer. If the timer is up, the system starts to play your message. It will treat the answer as an answering machine.

b). If the you set it to 6 rings, then after the system hear 6 ring backs from the phone line, it will automatically disconnect the phone call. Hang up and call the next number.

c). It is virtually the same settings, except the it times out after the specified seconds.

Appointment reminder import from Medics Elite

I’m using Medics Elite as my Pracitce Management software. I can run the reports as I see fit, but I only see a need for the first 4 (possibly 5) expected fields: contact, phone, start time, end time, call time. Can I import a csv file with only these values?

Yes. The first 3 fields are required. The rest are optional.

If I only want the call to say “hello, [name] has an appointment tomorrow at [time]” I only need 3 values total.

If the 4th field (appointment end time) is empty, the default appointment length will be used.

In regard to the “possible” 5th field:
If I do not import the call time (reminder call time), will AutoReminder simply queue up the calls and make them one at a time

The the call time is not specified, there will be no reminder call for the appointment; if the value is “now”, the call time is right now (This is the same as check the Call Now radio button in the New Appointment dialog); if the field is “ask”, during importing, a dialog will pop up for the user to specify call time.

And yes, calls will be queued on Voicent Gateway. If will be valid until the appointment start time.

More details can be found in the program help file.

Launch autodialer by calling from home

I want to be able to call in from home and record a message. Then send it to different people that has been programmed.

You have two choices:

1. Use inbound IVR application to launch BroadcastByPhone by telephone

This allows you to call in to record a message, and launch BroadcastByPhone to send out the recorded message.

You will need to have Voicent IVR Studio to design and deploy the inbound application. Once set, you can call in and start recording and then lanch the broadcast. It requires some design work. The good news is that IVR Tutorial is using this as a sample, so you can just take the sample application and use it as is.

2. Use BroadcastByPhone Enterprise edition

This allows you to run a BroadcastByPhone as a remote client of Voicent Gateway. The gateway machine has the phone connections and all the phone calls are made from the gateway machine. The remote BroadcastByPhone program is the client that is used to control the remote phone calls.

You can use the client BroadcastByPhone program as if it is on the same computer. All you need to do is have the Internet connection from the home computer and the gateway computer. Details can be found at the Enterprise Edition Setup Guide.
