No Phone Lines

On Premise Software Help Resource : Help TopicsNo Phone Line Or SMS Line Configured

In order to make/receive a telephone call, a computer can use a VOIP service, a corporate PBX system, or a regular telephone line. In order to send/receive SMS text message, a computer need to use a SMS capable modem.

Telephone Service

The preferred service is a VOIP service, SIP trunk, or an IP Compatible PBX system, for more information, please see Choose a phone service for Voicent software.

Text Message Service

For text messaging, you need a SMS capable modem. In most case, all you need to do is plug in the SMS modem to your computer, make sure the vendor’s software is not running (so Voicent software can use it), and select Setup, SMS setup wizard from the main menu.

Microphone Recording

With Voicent, you can create prerecorded audio messages to play during phone calls.

To record an audio file, click Operation > Microphone recording. Make sure you have a working microphone connected to your computer, then designate the directory and filename you would like to save your recording under. Click Start Recording to begin recording your message. When you are finished, click Stop Recording and Open Recording Folder….

You can now use your newly recorded message in a dialing campaign!

All these errors are not caused by Voicent software. You must contact your VOIP service provider for more information.

Inbound Options

On Premise Software Help Resource : Help TopicsInbound Options

These options are used for inbound applications where the call is started not from the gateway but from outside caller.

Do not pick up incoming calls: This is the default settings. If it is set, the gateway will not answer any phone call, except during telephone recording.

Do not play the “You’ve reached…” message: If not set, when the gateway answers the call, it will first play a message like “You’ve reached [your phone number]…”.

Inbound Password: If you have an application that is a secured inbound application, such as a voice mail system, the gateway will prompt you for the inbound password before you can access the application over the phone.

Caller ID Notification: You should turn it on only if you are using TelephonyCRM. Caller ID notifications sometimes interfere with outbound calls.

Setup IVR Application For Incoming Call: You can set up IVR application to automatically answer incoming calls. For more details, please see Voicent IVR Studio and Setup IVR application.
