BroadcastByEmail and TLS Secured SMTP Servers

hi, i am using smtp.charter-business.net and i can not get broadcastbyemail to work!!!!!! please help

Voicent’s BroadcastByEmail does support almost all email systems, however the newly released TLS(Transport Layer Security) is not supported at the time being. TLS is a fairly new technology and before we implement it into our Auto Reminder and BroadcastByEmail systems, we would like to ensure it is stable and that the majority of the public use TLS. For the time being we urge people to set up SSL(Secured Socket Layer) email systems over TLS systems, since TLS is still slowly being adopted. The time frame we expect to implement TLS can be sometime this year.

Seting up CallCentric with Voicent

This is a tutorial that will go over the steps required to set up an outbound or inbound CallCentric SIP profile for Voicent Software.

  1. Create a CallCentric account here
  2. Click the activation link sent to your email
  3. Fill out the information on the activation page
  4. Now go to here
  5. Take note of the CallCentric Number in the top left
  6. Now go to your preferences page here
  7. Twards the bottom find Phone password (SIP password), go ahead and set up that password

Using the CallCentric Number and SIP Password you set up, you can now configure Voicent to make and receive calls through CallCentric. To setup CallCentric with Voicent after you have the number and sip password simply:

  1. Open the “Voicent Gateway” in the bottom right, near your windows clock.
  2. Go to “Options”
  3. Click “Phone Call Setup Wizard”
  4. Click “Next >”
  5. Check “Use CallCentric”
  6. Enter the CallCentric number and password you provided

Once you are done the gateway will restart and you will be able to make and receive calls.

Setting up Skype Connect with Voicent

This is a tutorial that will go over the steps required to set up an outbound or inbound Skype Connect SIP profile for Voicent Software.

  1. Create Skype Connect Account.
  2. Sign in to your Skype Account and then sign up for a Skype Manager Account.
  3. Log-in to the email account related to your Skype Account and click the Activation link.
  4. Navigate to Skype Manager Dashboard.
  5. Now go to the Skype Connect section of Skype Manager.
  6. Set up a SIP Profile.
  7. Give your SIP Profile a name.
  8. Purchase the desired number of channels, for 1 phone call at a time you will need 1 channel.
  9. Add at least $10.00 for calling credits.
  10. Click “View Profile” and on that “View Profile” page, you will see “Authentication Details” on the left side, click “Authentication Details”.

On the “Authentication Details” page, you will see some information that looks like:

  • SIP User 99051000203837
  • Password ********
  • Skype Connect address sip.skype.com
  • UDP Port 5060
  1. Open the “Voicent Gateway”, it is in the bottom right of your computer nears the windows clock.
  2. Go to “Setup”
  3. Go to “Phone Call Setup Wizard”
  4. Click “Next >”
  5. Click “Next >” again
  6. Select “Use Skype Connect” and hit “Next >”
  7. Enter the required information

Your Voicent Gateway will restart is now in working condition!
