Set caller ID for autodialer

Please assist: I would like to display my 1-800 number when I do the broadcast – in stead of the actual number, or no number. Is it possible?

You can generally block your caller ID, most phone companies use *67 prefix. You can set the prefix in Voicent Gateway, Setup > Options. Calls made with *67 prefix will show “Blocked” as caller ID on the receiving telephone.

It is generally not possible to change the caller ID display. But there are services out there that can provide this service. For more information, you can take a look at wikipedia or google, and search for “Caller ID Spoofing”.

Install voice modem PCI card

I received the modem. But I am not sure how to open up my computer and install it

You should first check your computer owner’s manual. For example, if you have a Dell computer, the owner’s manual is shipped with your computer, and there should be a soft copy installed on your computer. If not, contact Dell support to get one.

Once you get your computer Owner’s manual, you can take a look at topics related to install cards. For example, for Dell’s manual, it is under the section “Removing and Installing Parts”, then under “Cards”, and then under “PCI Cards”.

With that, you should be able to open up your computer and identify where the PCI slots are.

Then follow the step-by-step instructions of Voice Modem Installation Guide to complete the modem installation.
