Record message by phone for auto dialing

The upcoming release 9 contains a change for how record by phone is executed.

Previously, a user must call in to record a message. In the old days, this method is works fine since any analog phone line will have a telephone number associate with it. Now, with VOIP, some accounts are for outbound calls only, so there is no way to “call in” to the account.

With the new method, Voicent software will make an outbound call to initiate record by phone.

The added benefits of this method also include making it easier to call anyone to record a message.

Running Voicent through Command line

I have a problem running Agent Dialer through a command line, even though I can run Auto Dialer fine through a command line. I am pretty sure that I followed instruction provided through the site: http://voicent.com/predictive-dialer/predictive_dialer_command_line.php. The following is the command that I used: adialer.exe “C:\dial.aoc” -pd -startfromrow 3

This is a perfect example to correct a common mistake that people make when running Auto Dialer, Agent Dialer, BroadcastBySMS, Auto Reminder, etc. Since new patches have been applied to Voicent software, there are changes of how you should run Voicent through command line. If anyone has a problem running Voicent software through a command line, here are the 2 things that you need to check:

  1. Order matters. The Voicent file (i.e. .voc, .aoc, etc) needs to be located at the very end of the command. If it is located in any other place, the program would open and close immediately.
  2. Use -startnow. If you have any intention to start a broadcast or call, make sure you use -startnow in your command line. Regardless of the documentation you read.

Speed up Auto Dialer

Auto Dialer and Agent Dialer works slow for me. Is there any way to lessen the burden to my server?

One thing that people might not know about Voicent’s broadcast/dialing process is that like Microsoft Office, it automatically saves the file over a certain period of time. By default, Voicent software auto saves the file after each call, which takes up processing power. To change that:

  1. Select the “Broadcast” tab
  2. Hover over “Broadcast Options”
  3. Click on “Specific to this campaign” or “Default options”
  4. Modify the entry of “Auto save call list after” to some number that you want. If you don’t want it to auto save, just input 0
