Setup OBi110 for auto dialing

I have a broadcast by phone product and I want to know is it work with OBi110 Voice Service Bridge and VoIP Telephone Adapter? Thank you for your time and support.

Yes, it should work with OBi110 or any VOIP phone adapter. These devices enable a traditional analog phone to use a VOIP service. To Voicent software, the analog phone jack on these devices is the same as the traditional phone service’s wall jack.

To use an analog phone service, you must use Cisco SPA3102 voice gateway (or other voice gateway products) to connect your computer to the analog line/lines. For more details about this setup, please see Setup Voicent to Use Your Analog Phone Service.

Voicent software is capable of using a VOIP phone service without any hardware. So if you know your VOIP service account information, a.k.a. SIP credential, you do not need a VOIP phone adapter (which converts VOIP to analog) or the SPA3102 voice gateway (which converts analog to VOIP). The only reason you may need these devices is that some VOIP services do no disclose the SIP credential of your account. If you do have your SIP credential, please see Setup Voicent to Use Your VOIP Service.

Call in to record a message

I’m trying to set up a test. I have a CallCentric account. I don’t understand what number to call to record a message. Instructions say to dial the number associated with the account. When I dial our church number from a cell phone, I get our answering machine. When I dial from our own phone (it is a residential line – one line only) I get a busy signal. I’ve tried dialing the CallCentric # (which is apparently not a phone number) and get a message that I don’t need to dial 1 or area code. without them, I reach a local party. I haven’t understood clearly enough what number I am to call in order to make a recorded message from the telephone. Thanks.

When you sign up for a Callcentric account, or any VOIP account, you will get an ID that is like a phone number. For Callcentric, that ID is the 1777****** number. However, you cannot call that number using your landline phone or cell phone.

In order to call your Callcentric account or any other VOIP account, you must purchase a “regular” telephone number. Normally you can purchase a number that is in your area code. (Technically, this regular number is called DID number, which allows call to your VOIP account from your landline or cell phone). An added benefit of getting a regular phone number is that the caller ID display will use that number.

Once you get that number, simply call that number to record your message.

Also, please note that Voicent software allows you to record your message using a computer microphone.

Select language to use for reminder call

I have purchased AutoReminder and TTS Plugin. I have figured out most everything except the Multi-Lingual part. I am interested in using this for Spanish speaking people as well as English. How to I tell the program during the import of data to choose either?

The first thing you need to do is make a new reminder message in Spanish using the Message Designer. Since all the pre-recorded audio is in English, you can only make some generic call message in Spanish. For example, you could have a reminder message saying: “you have an appointment tomorrow with Doc. Smith”, instead of “you have an appointment tomorrow at 3 PM”. The TTS engine or pre-recorded message cannot say “3 PM” in spanish.

Once you designed your Spanish version of the reminder message, you can select it when a new appointment is made. So for English speaking customers, choose the system default message or your own message, for Spanish speaking customers, select the Spanish version of the message.

For importing, there is a column that is for message ID. Set it to the Spanish message for Spanish speaking people; set it to the English message for others.
